Free Windows 10 Upgrade Is Coming To An End
June 30, 2016
Unfortunately the free Windows 10 upgrade will soon come to an end as of July 29th. If you have a computer that’s 1-3 years old running Windows 7 or 8, you should consider upgrading to Windows 10. The Home version will run $119, while Windows 10 Pro will cost $199.
For those users who were dissatisfied Windows 8’s Live Tile display, due to it being designed specifically for touch screen, it’s quite refreshing that Windows 10 returned to a more traditional setup, with a start menu and apps that fit into windows desktop rather than consuming your entire screen. Windows 10 certainly won’t have you feeling out of place, especially when upgrading from Windows 7.
Fun Fact: The DoD (Department of Defense) needed to deploy innovation faster to ensure systems are more secure, more efficient and cost-effective, all standardized on one platform. That’s why they’re going to standardize 4 million computers on Windows 10 in order to be further protected from attacks.
Issues sometimes arise with older printers and hardware. Problems can arise with one or more pieces of the software already installed on the computer.
